UK Conservatives set to wiped out at the polls in the 2019 local government elections.

Tory party bosses fear they face an election wipeout in this week’s local elections possibly losing over a quarter of their 5,521 council seats.

There are also concerns in the party they are going broke as they are losing members and donations.

Tory treasurer, Sir Mick Davies, said: “Deserted by both Remain and Leave donors and therefore I am unable to run CCHQ and ensure we are capable of fighting and winning.”

Traditionally the Tories have more money than the other political parties as they’ve always been happy to take bribes from the super-rich so they don’t pay their fair share in tax; this is with aid of the right-wing press, owned by offshore tax-dodging billionaires who publish Tory propaganda to get stupid people who will be worse off under a Conservative Government to vote for them.

The latest opinion polls suggest the Tories are in freefall languishing in the 20s and media reports of disillusioned candidates giving up because of the negative feedback they are receiving on the door. In many areas, the Conservatives have been unable to field candidates.

One election pundit and Tory peer Lord Hayward put the figure of Tory seats likely to be lost slightly lower at 800, suggesting: “Labour would gain around 300 seats from the Tories and the Liberal Democrats 500.”

I no longer have a Tory MP, my MP, Dr Sarah Wollaston, defected to this new Independent Group of MPs. I like to think the constant bombardment of emails explaining why Brexit cannot work for the benefit of this country helped change her mind, as after the referendum she was spinning the government line of respecting the will of the people.

Tory vote collapses.

The Totnes constituency has generally been a safe Tory seat, although the Lib Dems came within 887 votes of winning it back in 1997 when the Tory party were crushed by the Blair landslide. I was actually at that count, I’d helped the candidate Rob Chave who was an old family friend, as a young Lib Dem. I remember a trestle table collapsed with ballot papers tied up with rubber bands going all over the floor, while sitting Tory MP, Anthony Steen (of Expenses fame claim), happened to be stood next to me at a time when it looked like he was going to lose his seat, until the ballot boxes from true blue Salcombe came in.

Oh look, Anthony, the Tory vote has collapsed,” I said to him, he completely blanked me, humourless cunt.

That was one of the happiest days of my life, as I wasn’t old enough to remember the previous Labour government, only Thatcher and Major who I couldn’t stand. A shame Tony Blair didn’t live up to expectations and then my own party, the Lib Dems, formed a government with the fucking Tories, turning me into a political cynic.

This current lot though is the worst I’ve ever witnessed. It’s vital people get out to vote this Thursday and vote tactically to make sure Conservative Councillors lose their seats.

There is virtually zero support for the Tories in the town of Totnes where I live. They get most of their support from the posh surrounding towns and villages. I think it’s between the Greens and the Lib Dems, perhaps I’ll toss a coin? Sadly, the Tories won’t be knocking on my door, I’d love to waste their time and give them a piece of my mind at the same time. They repel me so much that you wouldn’t even find me within Molotov throwing distance of a Tory.

If they do knock on your door, waste their time, so they don’t knock on other doors. Encourage all your friends to vote this week. The Tories are totally demoralised, capitalise on that, go out and vote with enthusiasm on Thursday 2nd May to rid this country of as many Conservative Councillors as possible and get your friends to do the same.
